The Qld Men’s Inter-Association Teams Event is a two day event held in November each year.  It is played over 18 holes Foursomes and 18 holes Fourball Stroke Play on the first day, and 18 holes single Stroke Play on the second day. All 14 Men’s District Golf Associations affiliated with Golf Queensland are eligible to participate in this tournament. District Teams consists of four players who must have current GA Handicaps, and must be members of a golf club which is affiliated with the District they represent.

In order to be selected in the team a district player must play in at least six of the Open Events in the Golf Wide Bay calendar.  The six best gross scores are tallied into the Morrie Fanning Medal table, following which the Golf Wide Bay committee have the discretion to select a district team of four men based on the Morrie Fanning Medal table. Congratulations to Gold Coast for winning the 2023 Inter-Association Gross Shield, and Golf Wide Bay for the Nett Shield.

Our four man team below was Jack Wooldridge (Bundaberg), Paul Mathiesen (Maryborough), Andrew Eaves (Maryborough) and Scott Warren (Gin Gin).

2022

Congratulations to Moreton Bay for winning the 2022 Inter-Association Gross Shield, and South West Qld for the Nett Shield.

Our four man team was Scott Warren (Gin Gin), Brock Wooldridge (Bundaberg), Cameron Hanrahan (Maryborough) and Peter Johnson (Bargara). The team finished 6th in the Gross event and 4th in the Nett Event.

However, Wide Bay had a win the Four-Ball nett event with Scott Warren and Brock Wooldridge carding a nett 67cb.


2021
